MC Group Ltd is one of the largest transport solution companies in the UK specialising in offering total services to commercial vehicle operators. MC Truck Rental is a division of MC Group and provides a range of vehicles for contract hire and we are looking for an individual to take control and responsibility of our fleet maintenance expenditure. Duties will involve analysing and negotiating all terms and rates with suppliers and manufacturers, cost controls and expenditure with our own internal workshops and customer liaison with regard to additional expenditure not covered by the contract. Based in Maidstone, Kent but will involve travel predominantly throughout the South of England. Applicants for this role must have:-
• Effective negotiation and communication skills
• Knowledge of vehicle repair and maintenance
• Knowledge of current transport legislation
• Knowledge of “Ministry of Transport” and “HSE” maintenance standards
• Basic computer skills
• Leadership skills
• Engineering and Managerial experience
• Standard driving licence (HGV licence desirable)
